day 31

The picture comes with an explanation first.  Sister, Sky preformed a puppet show at school last week.  Brooke was too sick and so dad had to go represent the family and watch the show.  We missed out.  Today, was the first sign of life from Brooke in a whole week.  She has been sicker than sick.  Then today, I wasn't feeling so well (being prego) and barely pulled it together to get Jett off to school.  I had spent most of the morning just laying on the couch and I could tell when we got home, Brooke was going a little crazy.  No one to play with and I wasn't all to lively.  I heard Brooke in the other room doing her version of a puppet show.  NO amount of nauseousness could keep me from going and being her audience (camera in hand of course).  So here she is... and I even made it better by flipping the couch around.  The last picture is her "Ta-Da!" picture and I clapped as loud as I could!

day 30

In desperate need of some comfort food!  A warm, homemade, chocolate chip cookie sounded delish, and it's been awhile since I've made these.  Remember the complaint about my oven, well, I've avoided using it to make these cookies for the longest time.  It just isn't the same as the old, broken oven.  I had that oven down to science and got it to work perfectly for me when it came to cookies.  They were so perfect in fact, that my husband was selling them on a regular basis to people at his work.  They craved them as much as I did today!  Good news,  after a few tweaks to the temperature, I got a couple dozen to come out like they used to... PERFECT AND YUMM!!!

day 29

Sorry, for my lack of creativity... it's been a long week, stuck in the house!  I have sat around watching things pile up around me, including the sock pile.  I just haven't had it in me (cause I'm prego) and cause of the little one who's been stuck on my lap, to do anything!

day 28

Today, as I sat again staring at a little face that just wasn't getting better, I decided I better go to the doctor to make sure it wasn't anything more than influenza.  I would have gone in sooner had it not been for all the friends with kids experiencing the exact same thing.  I just couldn't believe that she could look worse after five days and still only want to lay in my arms.  Her cough had gotten so awful she wasn't getting any rest.  I am freaked by medicine and when there's a big warning to parents, I'm the first to abide.  After a visit to the doctor, I found out it was as expected, influenza and she should be on the mend now that she's not running a fever.  I gave in and gave her some of this, with the permission of a doctor of course.  Some of her coughing spells were the worst I've ever heard and she needed some relief for sure.

day 27 {or should I say week 7}

This post has been on my mind like crazy.  I wanted to be creative and do something fun.  I didn't want to just post a picture of a positive pregnancy test.  I've thought of SO many ideas.  I've laid in bed awake thinking of them.  I thought at first (and I kind have done it) to just post things each day with little hints along the way.  Some of those hits have been my comments and some the pictures.  Remember the pink and blue cupcakes, or the undying need for a roast (a major craving) and even the date on the DS was September and the "bursting with excitement" balloon picture... all little hints.  Then there was the idea today to go buy a bunch of blueberries and take a cool picture of them, cause that's how big the baby is at this point.  But nope, it ends here the announcement that I'm pregnant with #4.  I couldn't resist using this.  This morning as I was putting Sky's homework away in her homework folder and telling her to make sure to turn it in, I see this.  She is my little artist and I must show off her work!

So let me revamp my New Years Resolution...
I will no longer be losing but rather gaining 10 lbs.
Getting to church on time is going to be brutal, just getting there will be my new goal.
Saving money, kinda hard with another baby to spend on, but I will do my best.
Sticking to this 365, so far so good.
I believe more now than ever!!!  I'm prego!

day 26

Choosing something from this pile today.  Since Sunday after church, I've been in sweats or jammies.  I can feel myself getting fatter by the second.  When I'm in my comfy clothes, I just sit around and eat and when I've had a sickie on my lap, it doesn't help.  I haven't been to the gym this week, so today I decided I must put a pair of jeans on.  They remind me, especially today when they fit a little tighter, to get up and move more and eat healthier!

day 25

Still not well.  I have been sitting with her all day today.  I think I've had my fill of Dora episodes, but the great part is that it's allowed me to doze off a bit here and there.  It's nice just snuggling my baby and her not wanting to get down off my lap.

day 24

She ran a fever last night and today we hung out in jammies and snuggled lots!  When the kids got home from school, they ran outside (it was forty something) without coats and began to play.  I noticed Brooke make her way up there, watching from the sidelines.

day 23

With 9am church this year, I've done a lot of preaching about "being prepared the night before" so that we can make it on time.  I want the church bag packed, clothes ironed and laid out, etc.  The less hassle on Sunday morning, the better.  I was pleased to see my sweet Sky had brought down her books last night so that this morning they were out and she wouldn't forget them.  She loves to sing you can see the love in her songbook.  She's being baptized this year so at Christmas Grandma gave her a Book of Mormon to start reading.

day 22

Not much could have pulled me off the couch (or even floor) today.  It took everything in me to get up and dressed by 3pm.  All I could think about was how I wanted a roast for Sunday dinner which meant a trip to Costco.  And, I  had a hard time resisting these on the way out!  But quite the accomplishment, I'd say... I walked out with only two things, a roast for Sunday dinner and a package of chocolate muffins.  Sunday will be a yummy day!

day 21

It has warmed up enough that the kids have been able to play outside a bit.  Today, I sent them out to get some of those winter bugs out.  What I didn't realize was how muddy the grass had become now that the snow has melt.  Ugggghhh... now I get to clean off these muddy shoes.  Worth it?  Sure!  The kids are much happier when they've gotten some fresh air.

day 20

He got this game for his birthday and we've been playing non stop!  He's actually fun to play with, he doesn't get upset when he loses and he's so sweet when he wins.  He truly has fun playing games and is one heck of a GOOD SPORT!

day 19

Up With Kids
Today she had to memorize and preform a little commercial.  She did FABULOUS!  I don't know how she does it.  When I was her age, I was terrified at the thought of standing in front of a microphone and speaking in front of any one.  I would cry.  She smiles and enjoys the spotlight!

day 18

Yesterday was a beautiful day outside and warm enough that the kids could go outside and not freeze to death!  They bugged me all day to put together Brooke's bike so she could ride too.  I kept up the," wait til dad gets home and I'll have him put it together tonight" each time they asked. Well today came and guess what, Daddy didn't put the bike together.  I couldn't say no to at least giving it a try.

I think I did okay... just look at her!

day 17

It's Monday and Bachelor Night!  I am so happy to get away and enjoy a little time with my friends.  Thus the smiley face picture!

You don't see the smile?  Well, then here...

day 16

Santa brought this game to my 7 year old, but I think it was meant for me!  I got it going so that I could teach her how to play and now I'm addicted.  You get to meet friends, find out what they want for their birthday and then go buy gifts and go to the parties.  There's little mini games along the way and one in particular has got a little contest going between me and my husband.  It's similar to Tetris and unfortunately very addictive!

Day 15

Today I had an engagement shoot and just before leaving dad and the kids were having lunch.  This is what I left behind...

day 14

I'm a little emotional today.  I'm not in to thinking much either, which is why I'm using this picture I took yesterday.  After taking one of my little niece, my sweet boy did the usual, "here take one of me..." talk.  Never fails, if the camera is out, he's making faces or doing funny poses and asking for me to take one of his creation.  He cracks me up.  Looking at this picture today, made me smile!

Is there anything better than getting something in the mail?  Had I just waited for my mail to come today, before posting a picture...  This made me smile too!  I am incredibly blessed with AMAZING friends!!!  Really, really amazing.  They lift me up, make me smile and are always there for me!  Thank you!!!  You know who you are!

day 12

Dear White Trash, oh how I love you so.  I was so glad you were around today when I needed you.  It's going to be hard when you're finally gone.  Please come back next year!  Love, me!
