I'm sorry!

So, I've been absent for a couple of days (okay more like a couple of weeks).  I will blame it on motherhood!  Life gets away from me so quickly and when I finally have a minute I realize, WOW... I'm a little behind!  I know women that do SO much more than I do, so I feel guilty saying I'm busy.  I don't know what else to say though.  It's the truth.  My life to me feels busy, jam packed full of stuff to do and a to do list that never seems to get finished.  I've wrestled with the idea of "going back" but that just adds to my list of things to do and keeps me from crossing off the task.  So here I am, hoping you'll give me a second chance to stick to the plan... A picture a day for 365 days.

The other day, I came across a blog.  Not even sure how I got there, but it has really stuck with me and been on my mind a lot.  I have been back a few times to get updates, each time with tears streaming down my face as I read.  I don't think I will ever forget this woman, her tragedy, her strength, her faith, and the power of prayer (in case you're interested in her story).  So for me this picture is perfect.  It reminds me of what is really important in life.  It's not the laundry basket of clothes that needs to be put away, or the toilet that hasn't been scrubbed for weeks, it's this... my family.  My darling kids who absolutely LOVE to be tickled by daddy and a daddy who LOVES to make them smile.  I am so lucky to have this, and to have lived this moment.  It's so contagious, their little laughs get me every time.  I laugh listening to them laugh.  It's good stuff!  And you all know I'm a sucker for candid moments!

Can you see it, cause she can feel it!

At least three times today, she came up to me and said, "Can you see it mom?  Cause I can FEeeeel it!"

Not Superbowl Sunday just yet...

but it might as well have been.  Brett Farve was playing today and that meant we had to have some football snacks at least.  Our fave, 7 layer bean dip and chips!

Cloudy, with a chance of SUNSHINE!

This little one IS MY SUNSHINE!  Everyday she brings a smile to my face.  It might be what she says, how she says it, or just that she let's me cuddle her if I need cuddles.

The fog rolled in last night and left this...

I woke up this morning and saw the trees were white as if it has snowed, but it hadn't.  As I got closer, I noticed this...this is the result of a foggy night!

"Eye" love this kid!!!!

Today, my sweet boy got stabbed in the eye with a pencil.  After many tears, prayers and a trip to the Eye Specialist, he's doing GREAT!  Still a little red, but considering what happened, it's a miracle he's okay!  He was an absolute doll when I asked if I could take a picture of his eye for my picture of the day.  He melts my heart and these big beautiful blue eyes of his work to his advantage!

GO, GO, GO!

"Let's go.  We gotta go.  Come on, we've got to go right now!"  Those were the words I said the most today!  It started with getting up early so I could work in my daughters class room.  Then it was a rush to pick up the other kids, get home and eat lunch in 45minutes before I had to take my boy to Preschool.  While he was at Preschool, I took the other two and went to the gym.  Then I ran home, showered and left again to go get my boy from Preschool and head over to Up With Kids.  After Up With Kids, I ran to the grocery store (with three kids mind you) and then picked up a pizza.
It was a go, go, go day!

I thought this would be the picture of the day after all the going I did, until this...

She got to do what I felt like doing... zonk on the couch.

And he's back from his first day at preschool...

It's all he'd give me so for this I am grateful.  He obviously had a great time and still had it in him to be goofy with me.

The alternative to nap time.

I desperately miss the days of nap time!  I wish I still had that 2 hour break during the day.  By Sunday night, I just want a little peace and quiet, to relax a little in preparation for the week ahead.  So for this reason, we have adopted Sunday Night Movies.  I pop popcorn, the kids pick a movie and we all kick back and relax.  I do enjoy the extra cuddle time with the kids.

In progress...

So, of course this morning, I had to get started.  Here are a few in progress.  I'm liking them and can't wait to finish them and then of course MAKE MORE!

A new lesson to learn...

First, this morning I realized the battery in my camera was dead.  Lesson 1: don't leave your camera on all day!  So, I put it in the charger and left the house.  When I got home, late at night, I found this in my mail.  My tutorial on how to make vintage rosettes!  YES, I've wanted to know how and now I do.  Lesson 2: Making Rosettes.  I'm sure there will be a post later on about these.

We miss her when she's at school!

I'm having a hard time getting back into the swing of things, back to work and school.  It was more fun when our whole family was together for the long Christmas and New Years weekends.  Summer, where are you?

Righteous desires!

Today at lunch, the kids sat around the table and my sweet boy said the blessing on the food.  His prayer was sweet, but what was even sweeter to me was when I open one eye to peek on him, I saw this... his little hands and his new cherished item.  It hasn't been removed since church yesterday.  Lucky for me, my camera was close and in with no disrespect to his prayer, I snapped a few.  After, he heard the clicks, I was scolded, "Mom!!!  Fold your arms!"  I smiled!

The whole thing... gone in seconds!

With church now at 1:00pm, I had time to throw a loaf of banana bread in the oven before we left.  It came out just before leaving, so when we came home... we inhaled it!  It didn't last long.  WOW an ENTIRE LOAF, GONE!  I'm not so sure I like the 1:00pm hour.  It makes it hard to squeeze in lunch and get ready.  Often we leave for church having only had breakfast.  Looks like I'll need to keep up the banana bread thing, so we have something to eat when we get home.  :)
