This year my sweet Brookey-Brooke fell apart when her mom didn't show up for her Halloween parade. I've been reminded of that a million times since that day. It's usually when I'm in the bathroom doing her hair, she reminds me. It crushes me each time she brings it up. I had a lot on my plate that day and it just wasn't physically possible to get there and see her parade. Today, was her Christmas singing performance at Challenger. She LOVES to sing. She sings ALL day long and the same little songs over and over. Sometimes I have to tell her to stop so that the song won't get stuck in my head. It happens often that in the middle of the night, I find myself singing, "Every day is a happier day, when we're learning the Challenger way..." over and over going slightly insane UGGGghhh... So there was no way I'd miss this performance, even though I was nervous crowding into Room 7 with my little guy and Jett in tow, I did it. Radd was fabulous and fell asleep in my arms half way through. Jett was my assistant and took some video of her singing for me. It was great! Just before leaving, I wanted a picture.

Then when we got home she handed me the lovely present she made for me at school. I LOVE IT!

Simply adorable! He is the most snuggle-lee baby!! My dream came true for sure when he entered this world. He is 3 months old and I can hardly believe that. With each month that goes by I freak that I'll never again have a newborn or a one month old or a two month old again to snuggle, but at the same time I'm spending so much time holding and snuggling him and enjoying the moments with him that I know it's okay. I will have no regrets. I remember with the other kids, I HAD to set them down to help the others, cause the others were still so little. Now that the three older are as old as they are, I can literally just sit and hold Radd ALL DAY LONG and sometimes I do.

Gosh it was cold and WINDY. Thank goodness they're boys and didn't have long hair. It would have been all over the place. These darling boys are great little friends of ours. Sky and their older sister were baptized together. We love play dates with their family.

This year Mom and Dad Jorgensen came to town for Thanksgiving. So we went down to Orem to join in the fun with the Jorgensen clan. I think this new baby of mine look more like his daddy than any of my kids which means he looks like his grandpa.

This evening my sister in law, Jen and her husband Adam had their fourth baby girl, Lia Nicole Jorgensen. My other sister in law, Jill always in the know about when a baby is born in this family texted me and asked if I wanted to go with her to go see Jen. I didn't know she had even gone into the hospital, so my reaction was, "Why is Jen okay?" She said, "she had her baby!" WHAT!!! So of course, I wanted to go. After dinner and getting the kids to bed at 8pm (GO ME!!! that's amazing, at my house) I left with Jill. I was even able to leave Radd home asleep in daddy's arms for a couple hours which was so nice! Up to the hospital we went and it's a good thing I had my camera! I was able to let Jill do all the holding. I felt the tears building up inside and I would have lost it had I put down the camera for more than a second. It's REALLY, REALLY hard knowing I won't ever have a chance to give birth again. As much as I know it's for the best, it still kills me. There is nothing more magical or heavenly than being able to hold your baby that first time. It's absolutely incredible. I cherish those moments! Okay, so on with a picture... Lia is absolutely gorgeous, OF COURSE, she has gorgeous parents! She was so alert and awake the whole time. I was amazed at how aware of noises and sounds she seemed. I felt like she followed me as I walked around taking pictures. She's so great already! Congratulations Jen and Adam!

Today, I realized I missed the ten week mark. I wanted to take pictures of him at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 weeks. Dang it... life gets away from me so FAST! So here he is (deer in the headlights) at 73 days old! I spent the day cleaning up the kids rooms. Packing up all the summer clothes and putting away the winter clothes in the closets and drawers. Radd hung out on the kids beds while I worked. Isn't he cute?

Some of you may know... Neils was fired a couple weeks ago from his job of 8 1/2 years. With the blessing of prayer and my husbands determination to find work, he was only out of a job for a week. The downfall in his line of work is one that it's a commission job and two it is a process from the time he turns the loan in, til he gets paid on it. So the work he did two and three months ago, he may not get paid for and the work he is doing now, he won't see the benefit until February. Makes my stomach hurt to think about, especially around the holidays. No one likes to have to skimp and save, but even more so when it's Christmas time. But Christmas is really about Christ and without him, I wouldn't have this amazing man of a husband to spend eternity with. So I'm more than grateful. He takes such great care of this little family of mine. I'm amazed whenever I take the time to think about all he does!

With that skimping and saving, I've been trying to figure out where I can cut back this Christmas but still make it special and magical. My sister in law is an incredibly crafty lady. Whenever I go over to her house, there is always something new and fabulous on her walls or shelves (and it's always something she's made). She offered to help me make a couple things to give as gifts and I'm so grateful. Tonight, I went to her house to make them. When I got there, she had this... a growth chart that she had made for me. If you remember my post, we draw on the wall every two months. This will go in it's place and we can take it with us where ever we go. She's so sweet, thoughtful and amazingly crafty. I want to be more like her!

Sky loves making things. She is super creative and crafty! I love seeing all the things she comes up with. It's why I can't wait for Christmas, I think she'll be so excited (hint: Suzanne found it and she is giving her daughter one for Christmas too!) Sky is already in the spirit of Christmas, making ornaments for our tree.

So today since there was no preschool, Brooke sat on the couch and read book after book after book. She went through the first set of Challenger books (see Sky's name on this one). And then went on to read the first set of Bob books. She loves to read and I'm not worried in the least about her going to Kindergarten next year! She's amazed me for sure!

My Brookey-Brooke LOVES going to preschool. She asks every day, "Do I go to Challenger today?" She practically jumps up and down every time the answer is yes. She is doing INCREDIBLY well too. I thought because she is the youngest in the school year out of my three kids and because I have read to her the least amount, she wouldn't be as far ahead as Sky and Jett were at this point. But to my surprise, she is learning faster than they did. She has an incredible memory and had Green Eggs and Ham memorized (the long, regular version). So when it came time to put her blending sounds together, she could read quite well. Because she had memorized the book she knew what some major sight words were. She practically skipped steps because of this. She hadn't come home with her blending badge yet, even though she's been able to blend for awhile. I asked her on the way to school, "can you ask your teacher why you haven't gotten your blending badge yet, cause you should have gotten it by now." She came home with it and wore it proudly all night!

This morning after running the kids to school, we came home and I bathed Radd and got him dressed. And as always, he was then ready to snuggle and nurse. I love cuddling him and have a hard time passing him off to anyone. It's hard knowing he's the last and every minute he's getting bigger and before I know it, he won't be little anymore. Brooke, kept asking, "Mom can I hold Radd?" I had him all snugly and warm and I was beginning to doze off myself. I didn't want to get up or pass him off, but after the fifth request, I decided I would let her hold him. She wanted to snuggle him too and asked if she could lay down and hold him. I laid him down next to her (picture moment) and went to get my camera. When I came down, she was as still and peaceful as could be holding her little brother close. She didn't even know I had taken her picture. She wasn't sleeping, but probably just enjoying the moment, like I do so often! My babies!!! I love them!

Baptism Day
The season's first snow of the year! When I got up this morning and walked downstairs, I noticed the beautiful white snow covering the branches on the trees. It brought tears to my eyes. It was beautiful and white and pure, just like my Sky! I thought about how in just a few hours, she too would be as clean as the new white snow and she would glow like an angel. She is my sweet angel! While we were getting ready and as I was doing her hair we talked. I told her about the different times you wear a white dress and this was the second time, the third would be when she got married. We talked about who she might marry and what kind of person he would be. She said, "he has to marry me in the temple and have a good last name."

I don't really have time for this but I'm putting it at the top of my list. The last month has been an absolute whirlwind! I can't even believe the month of September has come and gone! WOW! It's about all I can say. Because my washing machine is broken, I'll sit here and blog instead. Who cares that the piles continue to grow right? I keep on saying those words, "who cares?" No one can smell me (well except Radd, cause he's on my lap) from not showering yet today. I'd rather get this back on track instead. I really have to focus on what will still be important to me in a month or a year. I really don't think I'll have any regrets on getting behind on laundry (partly not my fault) but I would regret not blogging and keeping up on the things that are happening every day, right?

Today, even though cold and threatening to rain, Jett insisted on going outside (flip flops paired with a sweatshirt, my kid for sure!). The girls were both at school and Radd was asleep. Jett begged me to "come play" with him. I crossed my fingers as I set Radd down hoping he'd stay asleep so I could give Jett some attention. He loves to show me his tricks... so of course I broke out the camera! Got to give Radd a break from pictures anyway.

Of course it's school day pictures cause it was a first day for my girls! Sky in 2nd grade and Brooke in Preschool. I cried harder after dropping my 2nd grader off than I ever had. I could hardly keep the tears in as I walked to the car. I bawled like a baby driving home and then some. I realized how big she really is and I DON"T LIKE IT!!! I'm sure some prego hormones and "I'm about to have a baby in 10 days" came into play, but still... I CRIED!

Another picture for today...

My dearest friend Suzanne takes care of me in the best of ways. I never got around to taking my little Brookie's 4 year old pictures and now that I'm SUPER PREGO and days away from delivery, it's just not possible for me to do. Fearing I would never get around to them, the AMAZING Suzanne said to me, "you just have to show up, I'll take them and then you can edit them". So Saturday we went up the canyon. Suzanne had found that there were fields of yellow flowers and if you know my Brooke, her favorite color is yellow! All of her stuffed animals on her bed are yellow! She calls herself Brookie Bee and thinks bumblebees are awesome cause they are yellow! It's just a yellow thing for her and I love it! So up we went to get her pictures in the yellow flowers. She lit up when she saw them! After it was all said and done and we were fighting the mosquitos and the dark clouds, I took the camera and leaning against the side of my mini van snapped a few. I'll share the awesome pictures Suzanne took for me on my family blog, but this is one I took and I love it! She had discovered that the white flowers were stinky and she wanted me to smell them. I went along with her game and would smell them and make a face to go along with the smell. She thought this was hilarious! This was a reaction to my stinky face. e.

Yesterday Brooke had her preschool orientation at Challenger and I wanted to dress her up and curl her hair (of course). When I went in to do her hair and held up the curling iron, she said, "no I don't like curls, I like pigtails." I gave in and put her thin, fine, short hair in pigtails. She looked cute, I must say and all day I would catch her playing with them, flipping them around as if she were in heaven! So this morning, as I was walking past her room, I noticed she was waking up. She saw me and smiled and said, "I still have my piggy-tails." She was so happy!

REALLY? Almost a whole month? What the heck? So I've been busy with projects around the house and taking the kids to the pool. Looking back that's all that comes to mind over the last month. Oh and that almost every other day I got a migraine or two. It comes with being prego! I didn't take but a couple photos all month and I'm kinda sad but sit here thinking... I just didn't have any motivation to do so. I think this pregnancy has taken a lot out of me!!! TO SAY THE LEAST! So here are the few I did take....

I made a small blanket for this little monkey on the way. I couldn't NOT make him something, right?

Sky getting her track meet ribbons in the mail. Because we didn't make it to the last meet or end of the year pool party, they mailed them to us. She did well... and even placed 2nd in shot put. Impressive if you saw how many of the kids tried that particular event.

Tylenol. Cause it's the only thing I can take and at the time, I wanted to take the whole bottle. I had a day of migraines and non sleep that I felt the worst I have in a long time. I even jumped at the offer when my husband called at the end of the day to check in, to come home an hour early. I never ask him to come home early, but today... I felt I was on deaths door and couldn't even move off the couch. The kids were hungry and I couldn't even get up to help them.

Movie night with my nubie! After a terrible Tuesday, and some much needed extra sleep, today my Sky woke up much happier and so willing to help me with chores. She is seriously the best helper when it comes to cleaning up. I can't even believe it. She jumps right in as if it's fun for her. Reward = movie Monte Carlo, starring Selena Gomez. We had a great time together!

So, I'm feeling huge and ugly, all the while my friend Suzanne gets skinnier and more beautiful! It's hard on the self esteem. Recently she posted some self portrait pictures of her and it was awesome, it showed off how gorgeous she is. She's so beautiful and even more now than ever. It's absolutely true as I sit and look at a picture of us together from over ten years ago. In wanting to be like her, I tried the self portrait thing. Don't ask me why... I felt silly trying as I stood in the window for light, holding out my camera and trying to get the focus right, let alone a good angle of my terribly, round, prego face!

Today, my youngest brother spent one last day in town before heading back. I love him and wish he wasn't so far away, but the good news is he'll be back Labor Day weekend (delivery weekend) to hang out. I don't know that I'll have sugar cookies for him, but if I happen to get a burst of energy some how, I just might do it selfishly so I have some yummy cookies for my hospital stay. So since it was his last day we hooked up at Cafe Rio for lunch. It was fun and afterward the cousins swapped places and I headed to Walmart with the girls. I found fun make it yourself candy necklaces and decided it would be a fun inside activity for the girls. After making them, it was only seconds before they wanted to eat them. I insisted on a picture before they ran off to play.

With the wedding this weekend, it meant my brothers came up from Arizona. My youngest brother, has a passion for my sugar cookies and since I couldn't make them for his birthday, I promised him some when he came up. It's been a LONG time since I've made them and I know why... cause when I do, I eat dozens and it's not a good thing! Sunday, I mixed up the dough and started rolling. I planned on breaking it up so I didn't spend all day in the kitchen, but I kept on going. After a couple hours of the dough sitting in the fridge, I began to roll them out, bake and frost them.

And then the shocker for me as a mom... tonight Jett asked his dad to pull his loose tooth out. I insisted he keep it for a few more days. I hate the idea of my little guy losing a tooth, it's like a piece of his littleness is falling out and he's growing up faster. It makes me tear up (mostly because I'm 7 1/2 months prego) a little to even think about.

Wow, it's amazing how quickly the time goes and this 365 gets away from me. The end of this week (today)is what I was aiming for, my brothers wedding dinner and tomorrows wedding. This week started with a doctors appointment that I thought would only take up a couple hours, instead 4 hours later, I was fighting 5:00pm traffic and rushing to get to my kids knowing they were probably starving by this point. I had my brothers engagement pictures to edit and order so they'd have them in time to display at the reception. I squeezed in a pool day with friends, knowing that would be about the only fun activity I'd get to do with my kids this week. Then, I scrambled to make my girls their outfits... getting the t-shirts, buying the fabric, cutting and sewing them. I had never sewn anything to a t-shirt before, but I thought I'd try and dress them up. I think they turned out great. Amazingly enough, today (friday) came and I had it all under my belt and I literally sat around the entire morning reading books and watching T.V. with my kids in our jammies. We lounged around until it was time to get ready for the wedding dinner at Gardner Village. So on our way into dinner, I grabbed a couple pictures of my darling kiddos!

So I wasn't sure I saw the funniness in this until we ourselves tried it and then I was grinning from ear to ear. I thought it was just a stupid, everyone is doing it, I'm not going to give it any of my attention kind of thing... plus you can't really plank, prego. Then my husband came home from work, jumped on facebook and saw my family's latest posts of them planking. He got a kick out of it and with excitement said, "let's do it!" How could I turn him down? Not really in the mood for much today. Struggling to stay happy and positive and not let things in life bring me down. The weather today hasn't helped, overcast and gloomy. Seems to have an affect on my mood, especially 7 months prego. I found myself going through the side drawer in the bathroom thinking about how unorganized my house is and how maybe I could dump everything in the drawer and start from scratch. I found these... sponge rollers. I lived in these as a kid and even as a teenager. I would sleep in them all the time to have curly hair in the morning. I remember taking them with me to girls camp so that I could wash my hair on the last day, put them in that night so the next day when I got home I had great hair for the Stake dance I would be going to. Brooke was there when I found them and asked what they were. I told her, "sponge rollers." "Like Sponge Bob?" she asked. I showed her how they go in your hair and she pranced around for a few hours asking, "Is my hair curly yet?" Not likely, but at least she brought out a smile in me and a picture of the day!

Today was hectic, running out the door with all three kids to take the website photos for Up With Kids. I took last years Alice in Wonderland pictures which you can find on their website. They will be there until they are replaced with some of these for this year's show, Tangled.

It's my 9 year anniversary today and since I refuse to be in any pictures and lame-o me didn't take my camera with me on my date, I'm posting something that at least has some meaning. My husband hates growing tomatoes but he knows how much I LOVE to eat home grown tomatoes. They are like candy to me. A little salt and pepper and I'm in heaven! Each year he some how convinces me he's not going to plant them, and then he does. This year he got on it early and planted them for Mothers Day. He managed to find some that had grown more than our usual starter and so we are definitely ahead of the game this year! I worried about them for a bit, afraid they'd die cause it stayed so cold there in May, but they're still alive and doing quite well. I'm happy to say, my first tomato has popped up!

4th of July! I'm proud to be an American! I know I've posted this on facebook, but it's still my picture for the day. I love it! It was my husbands idea and that makes it even better. He talks to Veterans all day and has an absolute appreciation for our freedom. (Notice the pants and skirt? Worth every second of sewing to have them in this picture, right? Cause now what do I do with them?)

We made it up to Park City for the 4th of July weekend and finally rolled out of bed. I am incredibly blessed to have a friend like Suzanne who insisted we come up again this year (even though we couldn't afford it) to spend the weekend in the condo with them. Our girls are little best friends when they get together and it's fun to watch them play and interact. This morning, I found our girls on the couch reading a book together. Sky still in her jammies (cause I'm on slo-mo- mode) and Abby all dressed and ready to head out to the Alpine Slide. They sat together on the couch just chatting, taking turns reading a page and giggling. They're adorable and I hope they stay close as friends.

Today we went swimming at my friends house all day. It was heaven! I love that I have friends and during the summer we're able to get together and let the kids play while we sit and chat! After our swim, we came home and had baths. I must have looked especially big today in my swimsuit cause after baths and putting jammies on the kids, I found my little Brookie walking around the house like this...

My Mondays and Wednesdays have been quite busy with Track and T-ball. Today was Sky's first track meet and unfortunately Jett's t-ball game started soon after. So I left Dad in charge of Sky while I ran off with Jett to get him to his game.

I captured a few that are significant today...

First the protective dad, shading his daughter until it was time for her to run. He's always been this way, making sure his kids are always the most comfortable they can be. He's one heck of a dad!

Then of course, the events Sky chose for her first meet...

And then I had to leave and this is my boy at his t-ball game. Getting ready, he sits intently watching from the dugout. This year he has been on top of his game. I was happy with his focus and how well he's done. Most of the kids were found kicking the dirt, playing with their hat, or just off in la-la land of some sort. Not Jett, and I wonder where that comes from. He was seen slightly bent forward watching the kid at bat, ready to pounce on the ball the second it was hit. He was ready at all times.

Not my favorite appointment, but happy to have passed the test! Today, I found out good and bad... good in that I passed my iron test, and my glucose test. Tests that apparently most of the ladies have had trouble passing lately. But the bad, I gained 8lbs this month. That is the most I have ever gained in a month of pregnancy and lucky for me, my doctor was out delivering. I would have gotten the third degree had she been there. Last trimester, here we go!

Ice cream for dinner! Why not... after an extra hot Track practice and tball game, it's the only thing that sounded good. Kinda nice that mom is prego and doesn't really care, it's the only thing I wanted to eat myself!

Today, we went to lunch and then came home gathered up the new bikes and helmets and headed over to the park. As overprotective parents, we hadn't gotten bikes or taught our kids how to ride them. They've been completely okay riding Big Wheels in the backyard and around the block. That hasn't bothered me one bit. But at the same time, what kid can grow up without riding a bike, right? So we decided it was time. Dad has spent the last couple of weeks shopping for the perfect bikes and helmets. He did great and was so excited to go out and finally teach them.

The first few days of summer, I thought I was going to end up killing one of my children. It seemed to have all three together all day was not going well. Threes a crowd they say and in this case it was a constant crowd! There was lots of arguing and battles for who was in charge and what game was being played. Then today... it was a miracle. I woke up to the kids giggling... ALL THREE OF THEM! I grabbed my camera and from just outside the girls room I found them here... on the top bunk saying silly words and playing with their favorite stuffed animals.

It's like a diet for me... I start out strong, doing perfectly everyday and then things get in the way and slowly I loose my momentum and before I know it, I've given up. But I am getting back on the horse and hopefully riding this challenge out the rest of the year.

At least someone looks out for me! I heard a scream and it was Sky screaming at Jett saying, "NO, it's not yours!" I ran down and the argument was that Jett was taking the LAST croissant. How dare he! I jumped in asking him to choose something else to eat cause these were Sky's favorite and I was afraid he was only doing it to make her scream (cause that happens a lot around here). He agreed after being presented other choices, but Sky was not convinced he was really going to leave it alone. Later I found it with this little note attached! I think she's way too smart, knowing I wouldn't really eat it, I'd let her have it. This way though, she didn't come off selfish!

I made it through the first 30 days! I had my husband stop on the way home for my refill (the next six boxes to get me through the next 30 days) and he was told by the pharmacist that if we didn't have insurance, these shots would cost $3900 a box! Holy Shot, one could say!

Today, was just one of those days. I kept Sky home from school well... just because. There's all sorts of reasons, and basically it was just easier for me. So, we sat around in our jammies, partly because Jett was sick and I wasn't up for getting dressed when it was just cold and SNOWING outside. We weren't going anywhere and so why bother. Sky has had a thing for jumping on the mini tramp lately and jumping her scarf (in place of a jump rope). She is quite the jumping jelly bean! She can go and go, all with this SCARF! I went in to take pictures of her jumping and look who didn't want to miss out on the spotlight... :) He's a crack up!

Jealous of the fact that Jett was having a "Teddy Bear Picnic" at school today, I promised to break out the picnic blanket and plates. I told her we'd have our own picnic at home after we took Jett to school and she could invite whoever she wanted. She invited her favorite friends, baby Molly, Purple Hippo and you can't see her but, Bunny. I sure enjoy my three days a week that I get to spend two hours with JUST her. She always talks my ear off!

How could I not post this one as well... it's the way it goes EVERY Easter. I want them all together in their darling outfits with perfectly combed hair, and they complain that it's just "too bright." I get frustrated beyond belief every year. Even with all my begging, it just never happens the way I want it too.

Easter Sunday... and 21 weeks along. I don't like how incredibly round I get (not just my belly) when I'm prego. So, don't expect to see any other prego pictures of me. Suzanne is insisting on doing maternity pictures, but I'm not interested in the least! I HATE being in front of the camera, HATE IT!!! I'm barely okay posting this one. But for the sake of my 365 and for having at least one prego picture in my life that I'll keep, here it is. Plus, my kids were incredibly awful at pictures today (like EVERY Easter, so this is all I've got.

Seriously? It's been almost a week since I posted a picture. I'm terrible at this. Oh well, I'm going to just keep at it the best I can. Every day, doesn't seem to be happening, but it's still my goal!

It happens every 6-8 weeks, I want to cut Jetts hair, but he pleads with me to let him keep it. Not understanding why he doesn't want to cut it, I ask him if he wants "Justin Bieber hair." The answer has always been the same, strong, "NO!" So, here we are again, me wanting to cut it for Easter weekend, and him begging to let him keep it. Why? There's never been a reason why, but tonight he finally said, "I just want to put my hair like this and show my friends at school and then you can cut it." AHHhhhhh!!! Okay, I am going to let him (as I cringe inside) cause what's it going to hurt and for some reason, he likes it! :)

Don't worry, I'm not forgetting to go back, I will still fill in a lot of the days missing. But I wanted to get this posted for today...

Last night I went over to Suzannes to work on lighting in her studio. We had a friend, a master at lighting come and help us figure some things out and how to get certain looks. It was such a great night of learning. There are so many aspects of photography and studio photography is a whole aspect on it's own. Lighting in studio, is so much different than outdoor or natural light. It's not like you can move the sun closer or further away like the light in studio. So, I watched and learned new things. I'm so glad I took the time to go over. I didn't feel like going in the least. It was a hard day. Just not a 100% yet and it's killing me. Anyway, so I took pictures yesterday, but they were with Suzanne's camera so I don't have one for yesterday. Today though, I wanted to post something that captured light and shadows in a way that I created it. With the older kids at school, I took Brooke into my front room, moved couches around and played with the light on her face. We did the standard pictures, but then there were a few I was able to convince her to do to get the light the way I wanted it. This is one of them.
